Import custom tags with cvs

Is it possible to import custom tags with cvs (without pictures)
Hello,

I need a way to import custom tags with cvs.
Structure csv file:

Item Id;xxx
18;12,13,14

I tested File->Import->CSV-File. It not works.

Does someone have a better idea?

Hi Egon,

I played little with custom tags when I tested Uwe's instructions. Check if that can give you any pointers.

Have you defined the custom tag in the catalog where you are importing the tags?

Hello,

I have defined custom tags.
I use 5.5 (1726).
Now I have installed ExifTools and checked something.
I have one custom tag (text) defined with "Tag has a limited number of values that can be assigned to multiple files" and now I need this tag as "Multiple tag values can be assigned to the same file".
My plan was: - Write the tags to a csv file
- Edit the file
- Delete the "false" custom tag
- Create the custom tag in the right way
- Read the csv file and update by that the pictures and catalog.
Now the questions to ExifTools:
- I have written the tags to a csv file, but I don't no, how can I include the tag "Element ID".
- What do I have to do to read this file after editing, delete and create custom tag.
