Before Daminion: A Large Archive That Became Impossible to Navigate
Over time, H. Henriksen accumulated a large project-based file library on their server. As an engineering company, they create a high volume of photos and documentation during projects, and those visuals become critical reference material when starting new work. In theory, they had internal protocols to keep the server structured—but in practice, the archive grew and became messy, leaving teams unable to reliably locate what they needed.
Engineers needed quick access to previous project data to identify proven solutions they could replicate or adapt. At the same time, marketing and sales teams needed a searchable repository to support customer work, produce user manuals, and prepare marketing collateral without wasting time digging through folders.
