The need for a centralized image database became clear about seven years ago when Adrian Lawson joined the company.
Subsidiaries across multiple countries often needed marketing visuals and promotional materials, leading to a constant flow of image requests. Even within the German headquarters, employees struggled to locate assets — everything was stored in various folders with no consistent structure.

The ability to set limited-time download access further streamlined collaboration, while Access Control ensured that sensitive materials remained restricted to authorized users only.

Access control was extremely important. We needed certain departments and subsidiaries to have private access to specific images. They shouldn’t be able to view everything. Daminion made that possible — and it remains crucial for us.
