This is my review. So you are running a business. A ton of your digital media is spread all over different folders, computers, storage systems. We’ve all been there. Only a few of us came back unscathed, though.
You want to find your file(s) fast, preferably yesterday. You want to not just crawl from underneath your huge digital media pile a day later, exhausted and beat. Oh no, sir/ma’am. You deserve to actually rule the darn thing. To power-find any file at the moment’s notice without even breaking a sweat. Yeah, uber file organization. That’s what you want.
I know I wanted that ease of digital file organization, anyway.
So how did I achieve that? By managing my digital media, of course. There are DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems out there designed to do just that. In reality, though, only some of them can help you… and some others may complicate your life even further.
The hunt for a file organization tool
How can you tell a good DAM from a bad DAM? One way is to use G2.com, a major peer-to-peer review site. G2 saves you months of doing your own research, trials, and errors.
What’s in it for you? Quality solutions found quickly. G2 is not a DAM, but it helps you to speedily find a DAM that suits your business, by looking at the peer reviews.
I found Daminion that way.

G2’s rating of Daminion (it’s a wordplay on DAM and dominion, get it?) is high, it gets 4.5 stars on 149 reviews. Only three people ever gave Daminion less than a 4-star review, by the way.
