Daminion creates catalogs, which consists of thumbnails and descriptions of all your digital asset files. Daminion automatically synchronizes database information with EXIF, IPTC, XMP, MWG, as well as format-specific metadata in a wide range of other media files including PDF and Camera RAW formats. This means Daminion stores all of an asset’s information in tags such as Author, Keywords,
File size, Media format, People, Place, etc. — then search and browse the catalog, even if you cannot locate the original files.
