Approve Tags
Description:
This functionality allows the approval of unapproved tags in the system.
Desktop:
Unapproved tags are highlighted in purple color. Files cannot be assigned to these tags through drag & drop in the tag tree. The “Approve selected tags” option is disabled when you right-click an unapproved tag.
Web:
All tags are visible in the web interface without any assignment restrictions.
Relations:
Enable the “Mark imported tags as unapproved” option in the administrator panel, under the “Reading metadata” tab, to ensure imported tags are properly marked.
Notes:
In the desktop version, tag values can be found through Intellisense while typing, but assigning them to a file will not occur.
Create Custom Tags
Description:
This feature enables the creation of custom tags by users.
Desktop:
The menu option for custom tags (“catalog > custom tags”) becomes inactive.
Web:
The menu option for creating custom tags disappears from the settings.
Create Tag Groups in the Tags Panel
Description:
This functionality allows the creation of groups within the tags panel. These groups are virtual and are not saved in the file during synchronization.
Desktop:
The “Add Group” option is missing in the tag tree.

Description:
This feature enables the creation of tags within the tag tree.
Desktop:
Creating tags and using the CUT function are not available in the tag tree. All tags are read-only in the file properties panel. Values cannot be created within custom tags.
During import, if a file contains a tag, it is created in the tag tree.
Web:
The “Add Tag” button is missing in the filter panel.
Customize the Display of Confirmation Dialog when Moving Tags to a new parent tag
Description:
This functionality allows the customization of the confirmation dialog when moving tags to a new parent tag.
Desktop:
The “Show confirmation dialog when moving tag(s) to a new parent tag” option is not displayed in the settings dropdown menu of the tag panel.
Delete Custom Tags
Description:
This functionality allows the deletion of custom tags.
Desktop:
Custom tags can be created, but when attempting to delete them, a warning message is displayed.
Delete Tags in the Tags Panel
Description:
This functionality enables the deletion of tags from the tag tree.
Desktop:
Right-clicking on a tag does not display the “delete” option in the context menu. This functionality applies to both standard and custom tags.
Web:
In the filter panel, the “delete” option is missing when clicking on the kebab menu.
Edit Tag Access Restrictions
Description:
This functionality allows the customization of tag access restrictions.
Desktop:
The tag access restriction settings can be found in the menu: Catalog > Advanced settings > Tag Access Restriction.
Web:
Checkboxes in Roles > Tag Access Restriction become inactive, and the visibility settings button disappears when creating a shared collection.
Edit Tag Synonyms
Description:
This functionality allows the editing of tag synonyms.
Desktop:
Right-clicking on a tag does not display the “edit synonyms” option in the context menu.
Edit Tags in the Tags Panel
Description:
This functionality enables the editing of tags within the tag tree.
Desktop:
The following options are not active:
- Rename: Renaming tags
- Cut: Cutting tags
- Move out: Moving tags within the tree through drag & drop to a new parent or group.
Web:
When the permission is revoked, the following options are missing in the filter panel:
- Rename: Renaming tags
- Change Parent: Changing the parent tag
- Move: Moving tags
- Edit: Editing tags
Lock/Unlock Tags for Editing in the Tags Tree
Description:
This functionality allows the locking/unlocking of indexed tags for editing in the tag tree. By locking a tag, other users can only assign files to that tag, and only the administrator can edit it.
Desktop:
The menu option “Lock Tag Editing” is missing in the catalog > advanced settings menu.
Sort Tags in the Tags Panel
Description:
This functionality allows the sorting of tags in the tag tree.
